DAPPCON 23
Company info
DappCon (Decentralized Application Conference) is a developer-focused event hosted by Gnosis, centered around building decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain infrastructure, primarily on Ethereum. It is organized by Gnosis and attracts blockchain developers, researchers, and industry leaders working on Web3, DeFi, DAOs, and decentralized governance.
Brief
I was tasked with designing and developing a cohesive identity system for Dappcon, ensuring a strong and recognizable presence across digital and physical touchpoints. This included creating a full brand identity—typography, color palette, and logo variations—alongside a responsive website featuring event schedules, speaker details, and ticketing. I also designed social media assets, digital banners, brochures, swag, and large-format conference signage to enhance both promotional efforts and the on-site experience. By maintaining a unified visual language, I helped establish a seamless and immersive brand presence that elevated the conference online and in person.
Process
I initiated the project by collaborating with key stakeholders in a group session to define the conference’s goals and explore branding directions. Given its focus on developer applications for the Ethereum network, we established a vision centered on a technological aesthetic that also reflected Ethereum’s identity. To achieve this, I developed a minimal yet striking color palette of black and blue. I also designed various branding assets inspired by the Ethereum ‘diamond’ logo, incorporating a rotating, 3D-modeled, glowing glass diamond as the conference’s central visual motif. This cohesive branding approach reinforced the event’s identity and technological focus across all touchpoints.
